Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Creed Digital ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") regarding your use of the StatusStudio mobile application ("App") and any related services.

These Terms incorporate by reference our Privacy Policy, which is available at statusstudio.creed.com/privacy.

Description of Service

StatusStudio is a mobile creative application that provides tools for creating, editing, and sharing digital content including:

• Text board creation and design
• Photo collage editing and composition
• Video editing (trim, crop, speed adjustment, mute)
• Video splitting into platform-sized segments
• Audio extraction from video
• Audiogram generation
• Auto-caption generation and editing
• Multi-clip video merging
• Platform-specific templates for social media
• Brand kit management
• HD and 4K content export

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice.

Eligibility

To use StatusStudio, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age (or 16 in the European Economic Area)
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
• Not be prohibited from using the App under applicable laws
• Not have had a previous account terminated for violations of these Terms

If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the App and agree to these Terms.

By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements. We reserve the right to verify your eligibility and to refuse or terminate access at our discretion.

Account Registration

4.1 Account Creation

You may use StatusStudio as a guest without creating an account. To access certain features (cloud sync, project backup, Premium subscription), you must sign in using:

• Sign in with Google
• Sign in with Apple

4.2 Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Ensuring your account information is accurate and up to date

4.3 One Account Per User

Each user may maintain only one active account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions, bans, or free tier limits is prohibited.

4.4 Account Security

We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized access to your account where you failed to keep your credentials secure. Do not share your login credentials with others.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use StatusStudio only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree that you will:

• Comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations
• Use the App only for personal, non-commercial content creation unless expressly permitted
• Respect the intellectual property rights of third parties
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Not use automated scripts, bots, or tools to access the App in unauthorized ways
• Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its related systems
• Not interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App
• Not transmit viruses, malware, or any other malicious code
• Not use the App to spam, harass, threaten, or harm any person
• Not misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or entity

Prohibited Content

You may not use StatusStudio to create or distribute content that:

• Depicts, promotes, or sexualizes minors in any way (CSAM)
• Constitutes hate speech targeting individuals based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
• Promotes violence, terrorism, or incites harm against individuals or groups
• Is defamatory, libelous, or knowingly false
• Infringes on the copyright, trademark, patent, or other intellectual property rights of others
• Violates the privacy of others, including non-consensual intimate imagery ("revenge porn")
• Contains personally identifiable information of others without their consent
• Promotes illegal activities or services
• Constitutes fraud, impersonation, or deceptive practices
• Violates any applicable laws or regulations in your jurisdiction

We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to monitor, review, and remove content that violates these Terms. Violations may be reported to law enforcement where required by law.

Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Property

StatusStudio, including its design, code, graphics, user interface, features, and all content created by us ("Company Content"), is owned by Creed Digital and protected by applicable intellectual property laws including copyright, trademark, and trade secret laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

7.2 Restrictions

You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the App
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
• Use our name, logo, or branding without prior written consent
• Sublicense, sell, rent, or lease access to the App
• Use the App to build a competing product or service

7.3 Third-Party Assets

Templates, fonts, and other assets provided within the App are licensed for use within StatusStudio exports. You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate rights to any third-party media you import into the App. We are not responsible for your use of third-party copyrighted material.

Your Content

8.1 Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content you create, import, or export using StatusStudio ("Your Content"). We do not claim any intellectual property rights over Your Content.

8.2 Local Processing

StatusStudio processes all Your Content (photos, videos, audio, text) entirely on your device. We do not upload, access, or store Your Content on our servers except where you explicitly use a cloud sync feature (if available).

8.3 Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• Ensuring you have the right to use any media you import into the App
• Complying with the terms of any third-party platforms you share content to
• The content you create, share, or publish using the App
• Obtaining necessary permissions, releases, and consents for content featuring other people
• Complying with applicable copyright laws when using music, footage, or imagery created by others

8.4 Backup

We strongly recommend maintaining backups of Your Content. We are not responsible for loss of locally stored content due to device failure, App deletion, or other causes beyond our control.

Premium Subscriptions

9.1 Premium Plans

StatusStudio offers optional paid Premium subscriptions that unlock additional features including watermark-free export, HD/4K quality, brand kit access, cloud backup, and removal of advertisements. Current pricing is displayed within the App.

9.2 Billing

Premium subscriptions are billed through and managed by Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Your payment method on file with Apple or Google will be charged at the start of each billing period. We do not directly handle or store payment information.

9.3 Free Trial

Where offered, free trials automatically convert to paid subscriptions at the end of the trial period unless cancelled before the trial ends. You will be notified of the trial length before starting.

9.4 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period. To cancel auto-renewal, you must do so through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

9.5 Refunds

Refund requests are handled entirely by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies. Creed Digital does not process refunds directly. To request a refund, contact Apple Support or Google Play Support.

9.6 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. You will be notified of price changes with reasonable advance notice, and changes will apply at the start of the next billing period.

9.7 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you retain Premium access until the end of your current paid billing period. No partial refunds are given for unused subscription time.

Free Tier & Advertisements

StatusStudio is free to download and use with a supported feature set. Free tier users may see advertisements powered by Google AdMob.

By using the free tier, you consent to the display of advertisements. Advertisements are subject to Google's advertising policies.

We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements. If you encounter an advertisement that is inappropriate or misleading, please contact us.

Upgrading to Premium permanently removes all advertisements for the duration of your active subscription.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Creed Digital expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including:

• Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
• Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses
• Warranties regarding the accuracy or completeness of any information provided
• Warranties that the App will meet your specific requirements

We do not warrant that defects in the App will be corrected, or that the App or its servers are free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of the App is at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Creed Digital, its officers, directors, employees, or agents be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses
• Damages resulting from unauthorized access to or alteration of your content
• Damages resulting from your reliance on the App or content obtained through it
• Loss of locally stored projects or media files
• Any matter beyond our reasonable control

Our total liability to you for any claims arising under or related to these Terms shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Creed Digital and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:

• Your use of the App in violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
• Your Content or any content you create, share, or publish using the App
• Your infringement of any intellectual property or other rights of any third party
• Any misrepresentation made by you

Termination

14.1 Termination by You

You may stop using StatusStudio at any time by deleting the App from your device. To delete your account and associated data, use the "Delete Account" option in the Account screen within the App.

14.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Engaging in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activities
• Creating a legal, technical, or security risk
• Extended inactivity (with prior notice)
• Any other reason at our sole discretion

14.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

Active Premium subscriptions must be cancelled through Apple or Google — termination of your account does not automatically cancel your subscription.

Governing Law & Disputes

15.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Uganda, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

15.2 Dispute Resolution

Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, you agree to first contact us to attempt to resolve any dispute informally. We will attempt to resolve disputes within 30 days of receiving written notice.

15.3 Jurisdiction

For disputes that cannot be resolved informally, you agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts located in Kampala, Uganda.

15.4 Consumer Protection Laws

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction. Residents of the European Union, United Kingdom, and Australia retain all rights afforded under local consumer protection legislation.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
• Send a push notification (if you have notifications enabled)
• Display a notice within the App on next launch
• For material changes affecting Premium subscribers, provide at least 30 days' notice

Your continued use of the App after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the App.
